How do you build a great company? It always starts with attracting great people. Proactive recruiting is a highly successful hiring strategy utilized by most of the Fortune 500 companies. This strategy is built around the concept that to get the best team possible, a company needs to always be on the lookout for talent to enhance their team or replace their “weakest link”. This approach to hiring acknowledges the small window of opportunity available when desirable employees become available or are considering change.

The challenge companies face is how to become aware of desirable individuals and/or make them aware of you. Current corporate recruitment strategies are typically reactive in nature as a response to a newly created vacancy. This usually consists of online job postings and the searching of public databases.
